The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has ended its probe into claims from a 30-year-old woman who says she suffered serious injuries at the hands of a Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) police officer.
On March 14th, a report was filed alleging the woman was hurt during an arrest several months earlier.
In a report released on Tuesday, Director Joseph Martino concluded the woman did not suffer any serious injuries within the mandate of the SIU.
The organization investigates any public interactions with police including death, serious injury, sexual assault, or if a firearm is discharged at a person.
