A boil water order is in place for some homes in Middle Musquodobit.
It’s in place for anyone in that area hooked up to Halifax Water’s system,
“There is a possibility of unsafe drinking water for customers.” stated the utility in media release on Saturday.
The utility suggests boiling all water for at least one-minute before using for things such as:
- drinking
- preparing infant formula
- making ice cubes or juices
- washing fruits or vegetables
- cooking
- brushing teeth; or
- any other activity requiring human consumption.
“This advisory is in place until further notice and is precautionary and based on the loss of water resulting from a water main break near 19 Higginsville Road in Middle Musquodoboit.”
Halifax Water continues to monitor the water quality and is working in close consultation with Nova Scotia Environment and the Medical Officer of Health.
