Ronnie King, bassist for The Stampeders has died at 76.
The legendary Canadian rock band announced his sudden death in a Calgary hospital on their Facebook page Tuesday.
King co-founded the group, which since the late 1960s, has given us classic songs such as “Sweet City Woman,” ” Carry Me” and “Devil You.”
The Stampeders said in their post that their upcoming tour will continue as a tribute to King.
The Juno-award-winning banded added “The show must go on… Ronnie wouldn’t have it any other way.”
