A local landmark in Kenora is going up in flames.
The store and office at Anicinabe Park is on fire.
The blaze broke out around noon.
Fire chief Dave Pratt says by the time firefighters arrived the roof of the building had already collapsed.
There is a significant police presence at the scene, but the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Manager of the park, David Longe believes it was definitely arson.
He adds that it was mostly office equipment and an ice cream machine in the building.
Fortunately, he says the staff is all okay and the building itself is insured.
The biggest issue right now is getting something in place for one of the busiest weekends of the summer, the Canada Day long weekend.
