A task force examining American Iron and Metal operations will continue to meet on a regular basis.
It provided an update yesterday.
Jeffrey Earle of Dillon Consulting will lead the environmental site assessment, working alongside Rob Simonds.
The task force has released the five-day report submitted by AIM that was required by the government.
Soil sampling tests will also be done by the Department of Environment and Local government at the nearby community garden to test for contaminants.
Further updates from the task force will be released as needed.
A fire at AIM on September 14th on Saint John’s west side burned for more than 40 hours.
