The Thunder Bay District Health Unit has announced that there are three new COVID-19 Outbreaks, in the city bringing the total to eight.

The Walford is dealing with a facility-wide COVID-19 outbreak, the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre has an outbreak in Surgical Inpatient Unit B, and Pioneer Ridge has an outbreak in Home Area 2.

Outbreaks at Hogarth Riverview Manor, 5 South – Orchid Resident Home Area, St. Joseph’s Hospital’s 3 South – Rehabilitative Care Service, South Pinewood’s Blue Heron Unit, TBRHSC unit 2A, and Chartwell Thunder Bay Retirement Residence are still ongoing.

There are restrictions on admissions, transfers, discharges, social activities, and visitation in the affected area of the facilities until further notice.
