An investigation into a sexual assault on a youth in Webequie First Nation has resulted in the arrest of a teacher.

Officials with the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service say the 33-year-old Greater Toronto Area man has been charged with:

• Sexual Assault on a Peron Under 16 Years of Age
• Sexual Exploitation

On Thursday the accused appear in bail court and was released on conditions and a future appearance date.

NAPS notes the man is no longer residing in the community and that the investigation remains ongoing.
