A great story caught my attention the other day. It had to do with the late TERRY FOX. You know the story: his goal was to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research. Terry called it The Marathon Of Hope. That was 42 years ago.
He had to stop his run just outside of our city because his cancer had come back. The annual TERRY FOX RUN isn’t until September, but starting next week, you can make a donation to the run in a very cool way.
The Foundation is selling a limited edition T-shirt. It’s a dot screened portrait of Terry, with the words “I’m not a quitter”. That was inspired by a quote from Terry in 1980 when he said, “nobody is ever going to call me a quitter”
Several celebs are wearing them to promote it, including: Tom Cochrane, Michael Buble, actress Catherin O’Hara, Darryl Sittler, Sidney Crosby and Sarah McLachlan. 100% of the proceeds will go to support Cancer research.
The t-shirts will be available starting on April 12th. I’m going to get mine…….what about YOU?
