The Beer Store is attempting to set a Guinness World Record tomorrow.

It aims to make the most container deposit returns in 24 hours.

All stores across Ontario are taking part.

To encourage customers, The Beer Store is adding an extra 20% to the value of the empties.

Another 10% will be added when they use The Beer Store App.

Guinness currently shows no record but allows others to attempt the same record.

It is not known how many others have signed up for the challenge.

The Beer Store states that it collects around 1.6 million empty alcohol containers each year.
