After a great stretch of mild temps that had many of us daring to dream about patio season, winter has decided to remind us who’s boss. A fresh snowstorm is set to roll into the city tomorrow, bringing a healthy dose of snow, wind, and that classic “why did I put my boots away” regret.

I like to call this “the meteorological equivalent of a plot twist”.  Just when we thought we were cruising toward spring, winter pops up like, “Not so fast.”

The good news is that this storm isn’t expected to be a record‑breaker, but it will be enough to slow things down. Roads will be slick, visibility will drop, and the morning commute might feel like a live‑action snow globe. It’s a great time to top up the windshield washer fluid, charge the phone, and maybe toss a granola bar in the glove compartment—because nothing says “Canadian winter” like being overly prepared for a 12‑minute drive.

And yes, while the calendar insists we’re 30 days away from the start of Spring, Mother Nature clearly didn’t get the memo. There’s still plenty of winter left, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun with it.

Build a snowman, break out the slow cooker, or lean into the cozy vibes. After all, if winter’s going to make a comeback, we might as well enjoy the encore.
