Join me this Sunday morning at 6 for UNCLE ED’S COUNTRY DEN. I’ll be playing classic country songs that won Grammy and Juno awards for Jimmy Dean, Mary Chapin Carpenter and the Oak Ridge Boys. You’ll find out who won the most Junos and why Country Male winner Stompin’ Tom Connors gave away all of his; I’ve got 3 award winners for Johnny Cash, including one written by Shel Silverstein and one with June Carter Cash; a Grammy winner for best new artist and song for Bobbie Gentry, later to be turned into a movie; many Junos for Anne Murray for an Urban Cowboy classic from 1981; classics from The Mercey Brothers, Emmylou Harris, Blue Rodeo, Ronnie  Milsap, Marty Robbins and Charley Pride I’ve got two classics that Glen Campbell got Grammy love for in one show as my Classic Country Legend and a Flatt and Scruggs toe-tapper with a local connection. It’s nice to be nominated but just a little more fun to win.

The Country Den is brought to you by  Backstage, Thunder Bay’s newest music and accessory store at 215 Red River Road.
