A 33-year-old Thunder Bay man is facing a manslaughter charge following a Thunder Bay Police Service Major Crime Unit investigation.

Police say the investigation led officers to the body of a 36-year-old woman.

Investigators located and arrested a suspect on June 6.

As a result of the investigation, the 33-year-old man was charged with manslaughter.

Police say the accused has already made a first court appearance and remains in custody.

No additional details about the circumstances of the death have been released.

The investigation remains under the direction of the Thunder Bay Police Service Major Crime Unit.
