An investigation by the Thunder Bay Police Services’ Cyber Crime Unit has resulted in charges.

In November, city police received a tip that a resident had attempted to share child pornography.

Further investigation led to the execution of a search warrant on Grenville Avenue.

During the search, the suspect was located and arrested. Officers also seized multiple electronic devices.

As a result, a 27-year-old Thunder Bay Resident has been charged with:

• Possession of Child Pornography
• Accessing Child Pornography
• Distribution of Child Pornography

The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
