Two people are facing aggravated assault charges after a man was treated for injuries at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

On April 28, officers were sent to the hospital after receiving a report that a patient was present with injuries that were suspected to have been caused by an assault.

The victim’s injuries were serious but not considered life-threatening.

An investigation identified two suspects, and they were arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Both of the accused, a 40-year-old and a 46-year-old, have been charged with aggravated assault.

The accused remains in custody with future court dates.
