A road in Chester, Nova Scotia, is currently closed due to a structure fire.

RCMP say Old Trunk 3 Road is closed for four kilometres east.

Traffic is being rerouted to Chester Commons Road.

Response includes South West Hants Rescue, Windsor, Hubbards Tanker, New Ross Tanker, Lunenburg Ladder, Chester Basin Tanker, Martins River Pumper, Blandford Engine and Western Shore Tanker.

RCMP are asking motorists to avoid the area.
