Crews are responding to a natural gas leak in Dartmouth.

Halifax Regional Police say it’s in the 0-50 block of Primrose Street.

Police ask the public to remain away from the area.

Primrose Street between Robert Burns Drive and Pinecrest Drive is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Jackson Road between Robert Burns Drive and Pinecrest Drive is also closed to vehicles and pedestrians.

Use alternate routes to avoid delays.

Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency is on the scene.

Eastward Energy says personnel have squeezed off the damage line and there is no further release of gas.

They’ll remain onsite to assist HRM Fire and to make repairs to the damaged line.
