The Ministry of Transportation is reporting a number of road closures east of Thunder Bay.

Other highways across northern Ontario are reported to be snow packed with icy sections.

As of 11:00am eastern:

Hwy 17 is closed from Terrace Bay to Marathon due to poor road and weather conditions

HWY 17 at Cavers Hill near Nipigon – HWY Blocked in both directions

HWY 11 closed Nipigon to Hearst.
