Thunder Bay Police have charged a 24 year old from Winnipeg with a red-light violation following yesterdays collision on Dawson road that saw a tractor trailer unit rollover into a pair of backyards just off of the roadway.

Police were called to the intersection of Dawson Road and Hilldale Road just after 10 a.m. Sunday following reports of a motor vehicle collision.

An investigation has revealed the driver entered the intersection on a red light and collided with an SUV before rolling over and crashing into the backyards.

Both the passenger of the transport and the driver of the SUV were taken to hospital with what police believe to be minor injuries.
