Washington‘s NFL team have come up with a new name, after their original moniker was deemed offensive to Native Americans. They were referred to as The Washington Football Team for two seasons but are now called The Washington Commanders.
One legacy. One unified future.

The new name, which had a lukewarm response was chosen over other contenders like Red Hogs, Admirals and Red Wolves, which was an early fan favourite, but ruled out because of copyright issues. The team also unveiled new jerseys with the same burgundy and gold colors they had in the 1980s and early ’90s. What do you think? Do you have a better suggestion?
