Since I moved here 6 years ago I have been on a quest to see a pelican. I don’t know why.  Maybe it’s cause I love the movie with Denzel Washington and Julia Roberts?   Anyway,  I was down at Fishermen’s Park and saw one standing on a rock cleaning itself.  The bird was just going to town digging it’s beak into their feathers… I felt odd staring at it.  I wouldn’t want someone watching me as I shower.  As I sat there, I saw another pelican in the sky circling.  I grabbed my phone and caught the landing… man those birds have a huge wing span.
