Charity BBQ in Support of the RFDA
Location: BAY Credit Union – Cumberland Branch, 406 N Cumberland Street
Date: Thursday, September 11 | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Grab lunch for a cause at this community BBQ supporting the Regional Food Distribution Association. Hamburgers, smokies, sausages, or the best hot dog you’ll ever have are just $5, with beverages for $1.
All proceeds go directly to the RFDA, which helps ensure no one goes hungry in Northwestern Ontario by distributing fresh, nutritious food to underserved communities.
Plane Pull 2025 – Presented by Ontario Power Generation

Location: Wasaya Hangar, 201 Kelner Place, Thunder Bay Airport
Date: Saturday, September 13 | First Team Pull at 10:15 AM
Get ready for one of the most unique and powerful fundraisers of the year! Teams will compete to pull a plane across the tarmac in support of United Way Thunder Bay.
This family-friendly event includes:
- Food vendors
- Kids Zone
- Mystery bags
- And more!
Come cheer on the teams and support local programs through the Power for Change Project.
1000 Ball Challenge – Supporting Special Olympics Thunder Bay

Location: Northern Lights Golf Complex (Twin City Crossroads & Olive Road)
Date: Saturday, September 13
Take your swing at the first-ever 1000 Ball Challenge. Participants will chip, pitch, putt, or drive 1,000 golf balls in one day—solo or as part of a team (up to 10 people).
Prizes include:
- Most pledges raised
- Smallest team to complete the challenge
- Other fun categories
Lunch and snacks are provided, and Golf Ontario will be on-site to support. All funds raised stay in Thunder Bay to support inclusive and adaptive sport through Special Olympics Thunder Bay.
Good Harvest Farmers Market

Location: Red River Road (Court St. to St. Paul)
Date: Sunday, September 14 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The 4th Annual Good Harvest Farmers Market is back with a full road closure and dozens of local food producers and fall vendors.

Crash Test Dummies – Live in Thunder Bay

Location: Thunder Bay Community Auditorium
Date: Tuesaday, September 16th I 7:30pm
Canadian alt-rock legends Crash Test Dummies return to Thunder Bay with their unmistakable sound and iconic hits like “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm” and “Superman’s Song”.
