Yes, I’m filing this under “Tell Me Something Good”! 

Let me set the stage for you: imagine you’re hanging out having some drinks in a bar………a bar in the middle of nowhere.  People come and go, lots of regulars.  Then, one day a celebrity walks in and just hangs out for the night! 

It was on this date in 1989, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN was on his bike, travelling from L.A, and randomly stopped into a saloon called “Matt’s Saloon” in Prescott, Arizona.  There was a house band playing, and Bruce was asked to ‘jam’ with the band.  He didn’t hesitate.  The legend we know as The Boss….was in a random saloon!  How cool is that? 

THE BEST PART OF THIS STORY:  one of the barmaid’s just got out of the hospital and was dealing with a huge ‘hospital bill’.  Springsteen paid it for her:  $100,000 cash!  NOW THAT’S A GOOD NEWS STORY!
