Rain and strong winds are expected for Nova Scotia on Monday.
In a special weather statement, Environment Canada says southerly winds could gust 70 to 80 km/h but up to 100 km/h over exposed areas.
The forecaster says the strongest winds will occur over western parts of the province from Monday morning until late afternoon.
Eastern Nova Scotia will experience the stongest gusts mid-afternoon until late Monday evening.
While significant rainfall is not expected at this time, heavy rain is possible during the strongest winds.
As well, elevated water levels and large waves are anticipated along the Atlantic coast.
