A local women was arrested for drug-trafficking offences after police responded to reports of a disturbance Monday evening.
Police arrived to a home where the found several children inside who had been left in the care of five unknown men who fled once they saw they officers.
A further investigation revealed that the residence was also a site police suspected of drug-trafficking.
Officers found fentanyl, crack and powder cocaine, and cash.
A 29-year-old Thunder Bay woman was later arrested and charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
The Thunder Bay Police Service is not releasing the name of the accused in an effort to protect the identity of the children.
The accused is expected to appear in bail court on Tuesday, Sept 7.
