Today on “What’s For Sale”, I came across this item: a “vintage heavy-duty Potato masher – wooden handle”.

The description on FB Marketplace said, “Perfect for mashing potatoes, vegetables or beans”.  That led to both Candi and I making reference to not ever mashing any vegetables, only potatoes. What we didn’t realize when we said that….was that:  A POTATO IS A VEGETABLE! (LOL)

In fact, the dictionary definition of “POTATO” is:  “an edible tuber of a cultivated plant, which is cooked and eaten as a VEGETABLE”.
