The Thunder Bay Border Cats are back to .500 on the season after four straight home wins.

Last nights victory over the Rochester Honkers came in dramatic fashion, as second baseman Logan Groh drove in the game winning run in the tenth. The walk-off serves as a great early impression for Thunder Bay, as Groh delivered in just his second game with the team.

Outfielder Dante Smith keeps rolling, leading the team with a .354 average and eight RBIs in his last four games. Six came in Thursday’s 13-4 shellacking of the La Crosse Loggers — payback for a 19–0 loss to the Loggers on May 27.

Shortstop Manny Alberto has a hot bat as well, going 6 for 13 with 3 RBIs since Thursday.

On the mound, Carson Small and Tyler Bribiescas have emerged as a couple of aces. Bribiescas gave up just one hit in six innings Sunday night, while Small has a stellar 1.20 ERA after three starts.

The Cats have a day off Monday, then hit the road to face the Wausau Woodchucks on Tuesday.
